Key to developing the product ranges was working closely with our customers. Understanding the day-to-day risks for both patients and staff led to the implementation of anti-ligature features in all our furniture.

The key tenant was the reduction of risk and self harm, suicide and violence. These measures create a safer environment for staff and occupants alike.

A ‘ligature’ is any item that can be used to tie or bind something tightly, such as a rope, cord, or items of clothing or bedding. Such items pose a significant risk.

Our furniture features a unique foam-only structure, eliminating hard internal frames and sharp components, making it inherently safer in high-risk environments. We combine this with patented designs, high-strength, impact-resistant foam, and rigorous testing to meet the toughest of safety standards. Every piece is tamper-resistant, ligature- resistant and engineered to perform in the most demanding settings without compromising comfort or durability. One of the best parts about foam structured furniture is the comfort and versatility given it doesn’t need to be weighted or bolted down because it is completely safe.

Anti-ligature design reduces the presence of these ligature points and therefore mitigating the risk of a ligature being used to self-harm.
