Abecca is a manufacturer, not a distributor. Every piece of Abecca furniture is designed and built in our own New Zealand factory: never sourced from third parties or resold. We build exclusively for high-risk, secure and therapeutic environments: mental health, corrections, youth justice and aged care.

Every facility is different. Before we recommend or design anything, we take time to understand your environment, your service users and the challenges your team faces. Because we manufacture our own products, we can shape our solutions around your needs, rather than asking you to work around ours.
We look closely at how each product will be used, and misused, in your setting. That’s why our furniture is built from solid foam, with no wood, metal or hard components. Every detail, from shape and weight to surface finish, is considered to help reduce risk while keeping comfort and dignity at the centre of the design.
In our own New Zealand factory, we plan, prototype, refine and test each product before it reaches you. The result is furniture engineered to withstand the demands of high-risk environments: durable, comfortable and designed to support safer, calmer spaces.
