The name says it all: “Limber” for the flexibility that is essential to user safety, and “Shield” for the tough, protective layer that resists impact, tearing and wear. Applied in-house, LimberShield® is built for long-term performance, withstanding rigorous cleaning and daily use in mental health, custodial and other high-security environments.
Developed specifically for anti-ligature use, LimberShield® is engineered to help resist tampering, self-harm and misuse: ideal for high-risk, secure environments.
With an elongation range of 450–550%, LimberShield® maintains its integrity under pressure, offering exceptional flexibility without sacrificing strength: ideal for environments where resilience and softness are both essential.
Fully sealed and non-porous, LimberShield® is 100% waterproof, allowing for quick, effective cleaning to meet hygiene and infection control protocols.
Armadillo® furniture finished in LimberShield® is tested to BS 5852:2006 and up to BS 7177 Crib 7, providing critical protection in environments where fire resistance is essential.
